I'm writing this journal entry to make a small request. Lately I've sort of had an influx of notes and comments informing me of art theft on websites such as Myspace, Youtube, Gaia, etc. And, to be completely honest, I can't bring myself to care anymore. I don't have to time to hunt down and personally write to every person who uses a picture of mine they found on google. Especially considering 25% of these websites are in foreign languages. Sometimes I wouldn't even know where to begin. So, basically.. if you find art theft, please don't tell me. I don't have the time. The only circumstance where I would want to be informed is if they are making money off of it.

If art theft is something that gets under your skin and you really want to do something about it, you could politely email the person in question and ask them to remove the work, or maybe contact the moderators of the website they are using. That would be appreciated on my part, but obviously you are not obligated to do so. Anyway, to those of you in the past who have helped me out with art theft or contacted me, thanks. In the future, however, it isn't necessary to contact me about it.
